FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATION COURSE

Purpose

Develop instructional competence for qualified commercial pilots, including teaching technique, standardisation, safety leadership, and right-seat demonstration skills.

Develop instructors who lead with safety, standardisation, and strong technique

Training Outcomes

  • Deliver structured briefings, demonstrations, and debriefings
  • Apply standardisation and safety oversight in a training environment
  • Demonstrate right-seat handling and instructional communication skills
  • Coach student performance using objective criteria

Training Content & Hours

  • Ground Training : 100 hours
  • Flight Training : 25 hours (Cessna C172)

Entry Requirements

  • Hold a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Instrument Rating (IR)
  • Hold a valid Aviation Medical Certificate
  • English proficiency with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively

Privileges

  • Eligible to conduct flight instruction in accordance with regulatory approvals
  • Authorised to deliver student pilot training under an approved training organisation (ATO)
  • Certification subject to regulatory requirements and successful completion of course and assessments
