INSTRUMENT RATING (IR)
Purpose
Provide IFR training to enable operation by reference to instruments and approved procedures, supporting safe flight in reduced visibility and complex airspace.

Training Outcomes
- Demonstrate disciplined instrument scan and cockpit workload management
- Conduct IFR navigation and instrument approach procedures
- Apply standard calls, checklists, and procedural accuracy
- Manage abnormal scenarios in the IFR environment
Training Content & Hours
- Ground Training : 127 hours
- Flight Training Device (FTD) : 16 hours
- Flight Training : 25 flying hours
Private Pilot License (PPL)
Entry Requirements
- Hold a valid PPL
- Medical : Class 1 medical examination
Privileges
- Pilot the applicable category of aircraft under IFR
