Robby Djohan
Robby Djohan (1938–2016) — Founder
A respected figure in Indonesia’s banking and aviation sectors, Robby Djohan served as CEO of Bank Niaga, Bank Mandiri, and Garuda Indonesia.
He was instrumental in restoring Garuda Indonesia during critical restructuring and merging state banks into Bank Mandiri.
Driven by a passion for education and nation-building, he founded BIFA to raise the standard of pilot training in Indonesia.
Wiradharma B. Oka
Wiradharma B. Oka — Head of School
A graduate of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), with extensive leadership experience including Director roles at Garuda Indonesia.
His experience in airline operations and restructuring ensures BIFA’s curriculum remains aligned with industry requirements.
Irma Damayanti Djohan
Irma Damayanti Djohan — Chief Financial Officer
Holding a Master’s in Commerce from the University of New South Wales, Sydney. She have experience over 10 year in banking industry and financial institution, such as Arthur Anderson(currently EY), CIMB Bank, Danamon before starting BIFA in 2008. She has brought strong expertise in finance, risk management, and corporate governance in managing Bali International Flight Academy.
Under her leadership, BIFA continues to operate as a financially sound and reputable aviation institution.
Tience Sumartini
Tience Sumartini — Founder
Indonesia’s first female pilot and one of the country’s aviation pioneers.
Named among GlobeAsia’s 99 Most Powerful Women (2017), she continues to inspire women aviators and the aviation community.
Rizwan Halim
Rizwan Halim — Founder
A seasoned aviation entrepreneur and founder of Travira Air, Indonesia’s leading air charter company.
His engineering background and commitment to operational excellence continue to shape BIFA’s standards.
