MULTI-ENGINE RATING (MER)
Purpose
Develop competence in multi-engine operations, including systems management, asymmetric handling, performance planning, and decision-making under higher workload.

Training Outcomes
- Operate multi-engine aircraft within performance and limitations
- Demonstrate asymmetric handling and associated procedures
- Apply multi-engine systems knowledge and checklist discipline
- Maintain procedural consistency and sound judgement in abnormal scenarios
Training Content & Hours
- Ground Training : 42 hours
- Simulator Training : 10 hours (Redbird MCX)
- Flight Training : 12 flying hours (Piper Seminole PA44)
Entry Requirements
- Hold a valid CPL and IR
- Medical: Class 1 medical examination
Privileges
- Act as pilot-in-command of aircraft with more than one engine
